"Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we oft might win by fearing to attempt."
William Shakespeare ~
It takes strength and courage to face your problems head on yet, if we don't we will only continue to live in doubt of ourselves and the world around us. Starting therapy is not an easy choice but, hiding behind our fears will ultimately just leave us feeling stuck. As a compassionate, strength based therapist, my treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. My style of work is primarily systems based but, is truly eclectic as I draw from many theories and experiences. The treatment I provide is individualized to the person and/or couple I am working with. As such, the direction and goals for treatment are developed with the individual or couple at the initial session and as an ongoing process throughout treatment as change occurs.
My philosophy draws from the premise that everyone has a basic core of goodness, peace and joy and at anytime these qualities are accessible to us. Our work together will be focused on supporting you in finding your strengths and learning how to access them to support yourself and your relationships through difficult times. I believe that life is a learning experience filled with opportunities and teachers that come in many forms. Because change is constant, each of us goes through phases of challenges and of peace, and as such my attention will be on supporting you and your relationships in riding through these times rather than resisting or struggling.
With sensitivity and compassion, I help clients find solutions to a wide range of life challenges and psychological issues.
